Blanche R. Gesch

Blanche R. Gesch, age 90, of Whitney, passed away on Sunday afternoon, March 13, 2018, in the Town Hall Estates Nursing Facility in Whitney.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 17, in the Kimball Cemetery near Kopperl, Texas.  Rev. R. C. Kelly will officiate.  Visitation will be from 12 noon until 1:30 the day of the service.

Blanche was born November 7, 1927, in Rowena, Texas, daughter of the late Vaclav Recinsky and Therese Strakos Recinsky..  She grew up and was raised in Rowena. On June 9, 1951, she was united in marriage to Willie Gesch in Denver, Colorado.  The couple lived in various parts of the country while her husband was in the military.  She was a retired dental assistant and a homemaker.  Blanche was a member of the Lutheran Church. Her husband preceded her in death on February 17, 2009.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Paslay of Crowley, Peggy Moreland and Nancy Smith, both of Weatherford; grandchildren, Clay, April, Angie and Christy; 10 great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
