Billye Lou McGehee Rollins, age 79, of Morgan, passed away early Friday morning,
April 10,2015 at her residence.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 P.M., Sunday, April 12, 2015, in the Morgan School Gymnasium with Rev. Pat Correll officiating. Burial was in the Morgan Cemetery.
Her pallbearers were Aaron Parsons, Cory Barber, Jace Barber, Travis Kersey, Ben Greenwood, III and Jimmy Wayne Greenwood.
A visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Saturday, April 11, 2015, in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.
Billye was born September 4, 1935, in the Brazos Point Community of Bosque County, Texas. She was a daughter of the late Alvin and Mary Ann Richardson Braden. She grew up and was raised in the Brazos Point area. On April 8, 1955, she was united in marriage to Ronnie "Coach" McGehee in Meridian. Billye worked for several years at the Meridian Livestock Auction as a bookkeeper.
Later she began a long career with the Bosque County Appraisal District and retired as the Adminstrative Secretary. She was a member of the Morgan First Baptist Church and for many years was the pianist.
Coach McGehee passed away on May 19, 2009. On January 19, 2012, she married Johnnie Rollins and he passed away on March 19, of this year. She lived in Granbury for 3 years and following the death of Johnnie, she returned to her home in Morgan.
