Billy Joe Moore age 83 of Bosque County, Texas, passed away on Thursday November 28, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services are going to be 10 A.M., Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Meridian. Rev. Colin Errington and Rev. Richard Creech will officiate. Burial will follow at the Meridian Memorial Cemetery on SH# 144. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday, December 2, 2019 at Lawson Funeral Home.
Billy Joe Moore was born on March 26, 1936 in Hill County, Texas to William Moore and Dorothy Martin Moore. He spent all 12 years of school at Hillsboro ISD.
Billy and Ide Moore were married on December 26, 1975. The love of each others life. They were married for 44 wonderful years. He worked for the postal service for 37 years and retired in 2001. His hobby was golfing with his wife, friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Moore; 2 granddaughters, Courtney Robbins and Brittany Fields; and a great-granddaughter, Kaisley Stewart.
He is survived by his wife, Ide Moore; brother, J. Frank Moore and wife, Jo Nell of Bryan, Texas, sister, Helen Dickson of New Braunfels, Texas; son, Dana Moore and wife, Trish, of Leander, Texas, daughter, Gayla Robbins and husband, Tim, of Colorado; 3 step-sons, Bennett Fields of Clifton, Randy Fields and wife, Liz, of Wichita Falls, Texas, Kenneth Fields and wife, Rhonda, of Clifton; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends. He was loved by everyone.
Special thanks to Michele Lloyd and Nikki Mills from Providence Hospice, Dr. Kyle Phillips at Clifton Medical Clinic, Dr. Michael Soileau at TMDS and Dr. Donald Stewart at Central Texas Urology for their wonderful care.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Billy's name to Providence Hospice in Whitney or your favorite church.
