Barbara Ann Bible age 68 of Waco, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 in a Waco, Texas nursing facility.

Graveside funeral services are going to be 1 P.M., Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Morgan Cemetery. Pastor William Allen will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian.

Barbara Ann Holmes was born on December 13, 1948 in Fort Hood, Texas to Brewer Lloyd and Betty Jane Gurney Holmes. She attended school in the Palestine School District. Barbara married Joe Bible on August 26, 1971. She worked in many different areas in her lifetime being a seamstress, working in restaurants, and also in telemarketing. Barbara attended the Spring Street Baptist Church. During her free time she enjoyed reading, crafts, puzzles, and more so enjoying her grandchildren. Barbara was blessed to have recently enjoyed a once in a lifetime trip with her family on a cruise to Cozumel.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her sons, Billy Bible and wife, Sheila, of Waco, Donald Bible of Waco; 5 step-children; grandchildren, Zechari Bible, Mekayla Bible, Mason Allen, Dontavia Bible, Donaya Bible, Kennedy Bible, Jamiah Bible, Jadarrion Bible, and Kiesha Bible; sister, Antoinette Harrison and husband, Michael, of Waco; 5 nieces; numerous other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Brewer and Betty Gurney Holmes; son, Jamie Bible; husband, Joe Bible; brother, Bruce Holmes; and grandmother, Edna Dibble.
