Aline Steinkamp was born on July 13, 1931 in West, Texas to Theodore and Amanda Kroll Steinkamp. She grew up about 2 miles off of Hwy #174 going towards Brazos Point, Texas. Aline was a Kopperl High School graduate. She married Gene Harville on August 21, 1951 in Waco, Texas. The young couple moved to Ballinger, Texas shortly after their marriage. Ballinger, Texas was one of the many places that Gene and Aline lived throughout their lives. They often had to relocate to a new place because of Gene's job with Santa Fe Rail Road. Moving often Aline never once complained. They made Meridian their home on March 12, 1990. Aline loved to sew, gardening, and going to garage sales. When asked what she valued most, Aline said, "being a child of God, my family and friends. God has held my hand through rough times, family and friends have always been there." She was a faithful member of the Meridian First Baptist Church. She will be missed by all.
